The Seaxe Club Car sharing scheme

We hope this scheme will be helpful and enable you to enjoy meeting other Middlesex members but please do make sure you consider your personal safety before you travel

  • When meeting for the first time, make sure you meet in a well-lit public place and ensure that both of you carry identification such as a passport or driving licence so you know you are travelling with the right person. Think about meeting for the first time at a Middlesex home match. At Lord’s the Seaxe Club have a box where you could meet.
  • Please note that your email address will be sent to other members of the scheme when a match is made.  You may wish to set up a separate email address for this purpose.
  • We do not recommend exchanging home addresses (for security reasons).
  • For both parties, advise a member of your family or a friend about the arrangements – who you will be travelling with, when, to where and details of contact numbers.  Passengers should also provide the information about the car make, model and registration number etc.
  • You are not obliged to go ahead with the car share; if you have any doubts about the person with whom you are travelling for any reason, you should avoid travelling with them.
  • Passengers should ask the driver for the make, model and colour of their car as well as the registration number.  Do not get into the car if these do not correspond to what was provided when making the arrangements.
  • Passengers wishing to see the driver’s MOT, driving licence and insurance certificate should let the driver know when making the arrangements – do not expect the driver to have these items with them.
