Bradley Erasmus (Under 13)
won the David Newton Memorial Trophy (Batting)
Bradley enjoyed another excellent season with the bat in 2009, scoring 618 runs at an average of 51.5 for the Under 13 squad. His contributions were one of the key factors behind the squad's success that saw them reach the National Finals at Oakham School. Despite not adding to his collection of centuries from the previous three summers, Bradley scored fve half centuries including a highest score of 97* against Sufffolk.Charlie Randall (Under 17)
won the Gerry Lillie award (Bowling)In his first season as a Middlesex player, Charlie made excellent progress as he led the bowlng attack superbly in the ECB Under 17 Championship. His finest performance came against Surrey when he took 6-47 in a sensational ten run victory that helped secure the the runners up spot in the South Division One. A total of 23 wickets in seven games was a fitting reward for Charlie who proved a thorn in the side of both Sussex and Essex in two further one day victories.
Nishanth Selvakumar (Under 15)
won the Rynhold family trophy (Fielder/Wicketkeeper)
Having come through the younger ages as a top order batsman, Nishanth was installed as the Under 15 Wicket-Keeper in 2009. Despite his inexperience, Nish performed consistently and developed with every game he played. A dozen dismissals were backed up with a steady flow of runs that included an unbeaten century against Essex. Nish ended the summer in the Under 17 squad where he more than held his own against Surrey.Robbie White (Under 13
won the John Piddington all rounder award. Robbie produced a string of exceptional performances throughout the summer; his 568 runs and 22 dismissals behind the stumps elevated him to one of the most exciting prospects within the Youth Squad system. The highlights of 568 runs at 51.63 were the centuries he scored against Wilthsire for the Under 13's in the Quarter-Final of the ECB Under 13 Cup and against Warwickshire. Robbie also became the first keeper to pass 20 dismissals in a season at Under 13, his best display coming against Bucks where he took two catches and two stumpings.
Marwan Mohammad (Under 13)
won the Richard Davis fair play award. His brother Nadir collected the award on Marwan's behalf who was stranded in Dubai. Marwan led the Under 13 squad in a manner that Richard would have been proud to be associated with. Calm and collected under pressure. Marwan set the highest of standards to his team mates and showed the utmost respect to his opponents. He also backed up his captaincy with 24 wickets at an average of only 14, his left arm spin was unplayable on occassions and his three wickets against Essex were crucial in securing a narrow five run win.
